2009 Will Open More Jobs for Filipinos

Yes, there has been a lot of announcements that this 2009 will soon open more jobs for Filipinos who are looking to find one out of the country. Although recently, a few handfuls of Filipinos working in Taiwan were sent home because of the effects of the global recession, there are early expressions from different parts of the world of interest to Filipino manpower and labor services.

This is true just before the end of the year when the president of the Philippines went to Doha Qatar and met with leaders in the industry of different top companies to get support for the OFW population who are scheduled to loose jobs in their respective skills. The president got the sure support of the leaders and thousands more new jobs is expected to open up for the jobless but skilled and qualified Filipinos this 2009.

The jobs that were expected to come to the country, according to some reports in the news would also come from Cyprus jobs, Canada jobs, Qatar jobs, Australia jobs and more. These are what the OFWs who are going to loose their jobs would cling on to in the coming of the new year. Their respective families who are relying on all these press releases before the year ended is the only hope for some of the Filipinos looking to find more jobs in other countries and work to feed their loved ones and provide a better life. Effects of Recession to Jobs and Job Openings Abroad

There are so many job openings abroad but so far, because of the global recession, jobs openings were somehow affected. The effects were so lethal that even Asian countries and Asian workers abroad were laid off from their respective jobs in the middle of the holiday seasons. This is really bad news to the families of those workers who didn’t have their jobs anymore because their families were all relying on a family member who works abroad.

Aside from this effect of the global recession, in Asia, there are few countries who also felt a domino effect as factories from different industries lost clients and buyers were all now laying off workers in their respective departments as part of the cross cutting scheme to lessen the cost of production. In the Philippines, however, there is still a big chance that some of the countries who were not affected by the recession syndrome to employ workers. As a result, there is already an early announcement by 2 major countries in Europe and the Middle East who declared interest in hiring Filipinos for the coming 2009 opening of different industries and jobs. This offer were particularly pointed from Cyprus and Qatar respectively.

As the year 2009 opens the Filipinos were hopeful that these jobs in Qatar for Filipinos as well as jobs in Cyprus will push through. the government is also optimistic that Filipinos will get more jobs abroad as the recession did not hit all countries in the world.

Jobs in Qatar for Filipinos by 2009

By 2009, it is expected that there will be about 37, 000 jobs in Qatar for Filipinos to open. This was announced in different news centers both in television and news centers online just a week ago. The reason according to some employers in Qatar is that Filipinos work really hard and can be trusted plus they have the skills and ability to work abroad with professional attitude.

I saw the news over at ABS-CBN channel 2 and came to read using online news resources and found the same release by Manila Bulleting and Inquirer.Net, all of which are local news centers either online or in television in the Philippines. This was part of the product of president Arroyo’s visit to Doha Qatar to meet with different labor related people in Qatar for the said opening of job in Qatar by the year 2009. Aside from this, there was an earlier announcement that there will also be openings for jobs in Cyprus for Filipinos by 2009 which when combined, may be a big help to the country’s economy.
