Effects of Recession to Jobs and Job Openings Abroad

There are so many job openings abroad but so far, because of the global recession, jobs openings were somehow affected. The effects were so lethal that even Asian countries and Asian workers abroad were laid off from their respective jobs in the middle of the holiday seasons. This is really bad news to the families of those workers who didn’t have their jobs anymore because their families were all relying on a family member who works abroad.

Aside from this effect of the global recession, in Asia, there are few countries who also felt a domino effect as factories from different industries lost clients and buyers were all now laying off workers in their respective departments as part of the cross cutting scheme to lessen the cost of production. In the Philippines, however, there is still a big chance that some of the countries who were not affected by the recession syndrome to employ workers. As a result, there is already an early announcement by 2 major countries in Europe and the Middle East who declared interest in hiring Filipinos for the coming 2009 opening of different industries and jobs. This offer were particularly pointed from Cyprus and Qatar respectively.

As the year 2009 opens the Filipinos were hopeful that these jobs in Qatar for Filipinos as well as jobs in Cyprus will push through. the government is also optimistic that Filipinos will get more jobs abroad as the recession did not hit all countries in the world.
